Sue, Dallas and I went to the Pumpkin Patch last Saturday. We had a really good time. Dallas got to ride on the ferris wheel and an airplane ride and she rode on a train.

Motorcycles are already more difficult to spot than cars because of their smaller profiles, and drivers are conditioned to look for other cars, not motorcyclists.
Traffic, weather, and road conditions require motorcyclists to react differently than drivers, so it is often difficult to judge and predict when riders may take evasive action.
This means drivers must always be aware of their surroundings. Remember: Check twice, save a life.
Know when crashes are likely to occur.
You are more likely to be involved in an accident with a motorcycle when:
You are making a left turn in front of a rider.
A motorcyclist is riding in your blind spot.
There are hazardous road conditions. Potholes, wet leaves, railroad tracks, and other obstructions may force a motorcyclist to take an action you don't expect.
You have an obstructed line of sight. Sport utility vehicles, delivery vans, and large trucks may block motorcyclists from your view.
Be more aware of motorcyclists.

- I started postcrossing after reading a blog someone had about the interesting cards she received. So I signed up. I will show my cards and where I sent postcards to.
Joyce's Chemo Cap Project- How We Began
- The Chemo Cap project was started by Jan Goble, Vivian Denbow and Lena Louter after a mutual friend Joyce Schmitt had cancer. Joyce said that the hats she had to sleep in hurt her head because of the seams. We found patterns on the Internet for Chemo Caps. The pattern suggested using yarns that were soft to the touch. Vivian, Lena and Jan bought yarn and started making the caps. We asked Joyce to “approve the yarn” to make sure it was soft. We started knitting the caps at the Allen Senior Recreation Center on August 1st. Several of our friends at the center have joined us in making the Chemo Caps. Since many of the women can crochet and knit we have patterns for both types of caps. Our Allen group has grown and now we have over twenty women knitting and crocheting the chemo caps. Our project has been shared with family and friends and spread to Florida, Georgia and Virginia. This story can be found on the website for Lion's Brand Yarn.
