Randy

Our son, Randy, lives in NC with his wife, Danielle. It would be nice if they lived closer but we stay in touch on the phone a lot. I have a cd that he made with his singing. I wish I could download some of his songs to my blog but I don't think there's a way to do it. Randy is our second son, middle child. Oh, oh, you know what they say about middle children. No, he's a great guy. Danielle is a beautiful girl. I think Randy got a diamond this time.

Did what she was told!

Jamie and Dallas went outside in the back yard. Jamie told Dallas that she couldn't play in her pool....she obeyed! I put some buckets outside to catch the rain yesterday. Before Jamie knew what happened, Dallas ran to the bucket and climbed in. Well, it wasn't the pool!!

Postcrossing

I got a response from the first postcard that I sent on Postcrossing. My card went to Finland and it took 18 days to get there. I'm waiting to find out if the card that I sent to Germany was received. Here is what the girl responded to my card.
Hi Jan. Dallas was my first tv-series which I remember. J.R was so mean and
bobby was my favourite. I was then like 5 years old. That's all what I know your
city. Have a nice time with your flowers! Jenni

Jordan's newest artwork creation

Jordan doodles in his lab classes for college. He listens but already knows what the professer is talking about so it doesn't hurt for him to draw. Denny and Sue have several of his drawings in their home and I have a couple. This is his latest. He explained it to me but I'll let you make your own interpretation.

A little Artwork

Here are a few pictures that are on my wall in my office.
My grandson, Jordan, drew the deer. He didn't notice that he drew a deer head over the moon. I noticed it. The second picture is a picture that I made with a needle. I was working on it when they announced that Elvis Presley was dead. The picture is very big and it took a year to complete it. And the third picture is a picture that my aunt gave me. It's a real old picture. If you focus on the middle of Jesus' face, you'll see his eyes closed. If you look at his eyes, you'll see them open.

Weather isn't for the dogs!

It's a little cooler here today but it's still hot out. Too hot for dogs to be outside. Oh, and people too.
Speaking of dogs, our friends, Annette and Roger, living in MI have the cutest little dogs. They sent me some pictures of them. One is one of the dogs sleeping with Dylan. Their kids are like our grandchildren. Dylan is only 15 and is working repairing golf carts! He saved his money and bought a paddleboat. Kayla is busy with her sports at school. And playing with her little cousins.
Here are some pictures that we got from them. The picture of the couple is of our friends Pat and Russ. We love them dearly too! They've been here visiting us several times now. We're waiting for the Villerot family to visit us!!!

Wiggles Concert

Saturday, Jamie, Dallas and I got out of the 107° heat and went to see The Wiggles at the Nokia Theater in Grand Prairie. It was spectacular! We were in the tenth row and could see everything really well. Dallas was a little antsy when we first sat down and waited for the show to start. There were a lot of little kids her age there. We got stickers so while we waited for the show to start, we stuck them all over Dally's legs. She didn't leave them on long but thought they were funny. When the Wiggles came on stage, she froze! She was in awe to know that they were real and not on TV. After the first half hour, she came to life along with the other kids. They were all dancing in the aisles. She even went down in front by the stage. I took 123 pictures but only put a few on my blog. Her 'sticker legs',The Wiggles, Dallas in awe, Dallas in the front of the stage and Dallas dancing in the aisle! It was a good afternoon.

Postcrossing

While checking out blogs, I found a real interesting hobby on a blog. So I checked out the website and I joined it today. It's called postcrossing. After you register (free) you request an address and send a postcard to the address. It tells you about the person that you are sending the card to. You can send up to 5 postcards to begin. I have two addresses to send cards to. One person lives in Finland and the other in Germany. Wow! I'm excited about this. When they get their card, they put in the number on the website that was given to you and you wrote it on the card. Then your name will pop up when someone requests an address!
I'll let you know how it goes. If you want to check out the website yourself, it's http://www.postcrossing.com.
