We're going to be stars
Our Joyce's Chemo Cap group was interviewed for television the other day! It was really nice and fun too. So far, we've been in the paper 5 times, in a video and now will be on TV. We have over 1100 caps completed now.

We're over the 1000 mark for caps!
Our group has completed more than 1000 caps! That's great since we started with only three people and our first delivery was 35 caps! Since then our chemo group has grown and is still growing. Pretty good for not having any support from the senior center.
We went to a surprise birthday party for Joyce yesterday at Bill's and Scott's house. She was totally surprised. Her family was there but she had no idea we were going to be there. We had a real enjoyable time, lots of laughs and good food. I'll add pictures after Vivian gets them to me.

Chemo caps
We delivered caps to both centers this week. They were really happy to get them. We were also in the Allen American newspaper. Really nice article. We are also in the Neighbors Go website in a video. It was a fun week being interviewed, seeing the looks of happiness on people who had our caps on, and just hanging out.

Joyce's Chemo Cap Project
We had a meeting today with Troy Brakefield from the Allen American regarding our project. Joyce was there and a few of the knitters. It was really interesting and fun. He looked at our scrapbook, did a lot of writing and taped us so he could remember what we said. We should be in the Allen American this week or next week. I think that our project is going to really start growing when others start reading about us and either want to start knitting/crocheting or know someone that needs a cap.
