Lena and Kacey

Chapter 1
My friend, Lena, has been wanting a little dog. She lives alone with her two birds. Each week she went to the adoption spots to find her 'special dog'. Saturday, she went to PetSmart. There was a man standing with a little chihuahua in his arms. She asked about the dog. He said that he was giving it up because he already had a couple of dogs. She fell in love with her. He gave Lena the dog and she took her home. She renamed her Kacey. Kacey fell in love with Lena too.
They went home. Kacey immediately became accustomed to the apartment. Lena gave her a bath and Kacey loved it.
Chapter 2
Lena took Kacey to the vet to have her checked out. This is the sad part of the story. Kacey had a chip! The vet called the owner and was told that she'd pick the dog up. The vet told Lena that she had to leave the dog there. Lena was in shock. She cried all the way home. It was such a bad day for her. She just knew that the dog was meant for her and now it was taken from her.
Chapter 2
At 3:00 that afternoon, Lena got a phone call. It was the vet. The owner relinquished the dog because she worked 18 hours a day and couldn't give the dog enough attention. The vet told Lena to come back and get her puppy! Lena went to the vet so fast. When she walked in, everyone in the office cheered! And Kasey ran to Lena and licked her face. So it was a happy ending to a love story.
