Are all squashes this big?

I got home from NC and checked on the little fuzzy squash that was growing in my yard. I couldn't find it. Then I found this huge green thing growing. I guess it's a squash but it's bigger than any squash I've ever seen! I gave the squash to my neighbor who gave me the seeds to grow the squash. She didn't get any off from her vine! I don't know what to do with it and she cooks it all the time because she makes Indian food. She gave me some green beans off from her plant.
